Amanda: the creative one

Known as Dottie to her friends, Amanda has worked in wedding industry for over 20 years and is one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. As one of the UK’s best photographers, she’s shot hundreds of weddings and styled many shoots which have featured in some of the UK’s top wedding magazines and blogs. Like any creative person, Amanda loves a new challenge and that’s when she decided to launch Dottie Events & Hire in 2017 alongside her husband Russell…

Russell: the boss

Russell is Mr Organised and very much the brains behind Dottie Events & Hire. He takes Amanda’s creative ideas and make them happen. Since leaving the Armed Forces, he’s held Senior Management and Director roles at Bentley, BMW and Mercedes-Benz so is accustomed to offering exceptional customer service and making sure everything is perfect 100% of the time.

Steve: the funny guy

As an ex-Royal Marine and retired fireman, if he cant fix it its not worth fixing

Hoggie: the muscles

Retired publican and father to Russell, Hoggie (known as ‘H’) is the strongest man alive

Matt: the machine

A real grafter, just add tea and watch him go

The dogs: cute but not very helpful

The rest of the team is made up of our five dogs Marge, Daisy, Watson, Ken and Tinker, who are completely useless at erecting the marquee, taking calls and styling… but great for cuddles!
